Unidiversidade Podcast

Latas de cores

Introducing Unidiversidade, a space to discuss, feel, and share diversity. A podcast from the Diversity Unit in collaboration with the Vice-Rector’s Office for Communications and Institutional Relations and the Faculty of Communications.

  • Episode 1

This first episode is hosted by Concha Gómez, lecturer in Audiovisual Communications at the UVigo, and Marta Quintana, a student on that course. They will take us deep into the heart of Pride Day. Featuring in this episode are the voices of Carla Míguez, graduate in Translation and Interpreting and a pre-doctoral scholarship holder, Carlos Valcárcel, lecturer at the Faculty of Education Sciences and Sport on the Pontevedra campus, and Antía Pousa, head of the Xeracción Cooperative.

  • Episodio 2

The second episode is titled Being LGTBIQA+ today in Galicia and explores the progress, challenges, and hopes of people within the community in the current context. It features Soledad Torres Guijarro, faculty member at the Universidade de Vigo and president of the association Nós Mesmas; Eric Dopazo, writer, musician, and activist from the association ARELAS; and Cástille Jorum, a student at the Vigo campus, who shares their personal and academic experience as an LGTBIQA+ person between Galicia and the United States. Through these three voices, the podcast reflects on the reality of affective-sexual and gender diversity from complementary perspectives: activism, university teaching, and student life.
