Energy Efficiency

The Energy Services Office (OSEu) is the unit of the Universidade de Vigo responsible for optimizing the institution’s energy management, promoting energy efficiency, and supporting the development of renewable energies on campus. Its functions include:

• Monitoring and evaluating renewable energy generation and the Universidade de Vigo’s energy consumption.
• Studying proposals to improve energy efficiency at the Universidade de Vigo.
• Monitoring electricity market prices.
• Assessing new proposals for renewable energy utilization at the Universidade de Vigo.
• Tracking energy consumption and renewable energy production at the Universidade de Vigo.

The Energy Services Office works to ensure the efficient use of energy in all institutional activities. To this end, it publishes monthly updates on the evolution and reduction of electricity, gas, diesel, and biomass consumption, as well as data on photovoltaic energy production across all university facilities.
