STEMbach includes a series of complementary training activities organised by the centre, in collaboration with universities, research entities or organisations or researchers of recognised competence, with a stipulated duration of 20 hours over the two courses, and which will be carried out outside the students' regular timetable.

The Universidade de Vigo offers a series of activities focused on giving students first-hand knowledge of the teaching, research and transfer that is carried out in the different STEM fields at the Universidade de Vigo.

Teachers and students in their final years of study go to the centres to provide information about access to university and to provide information about the range of degrees on offer and the university's services; they can also be complemented with information about specific degrees or areas of knowledge and their (specific) professional opportunities. The aim is to facilitate the transition from high school to university and to provide students with all the information they need to get to know university.

Researchers, researchers and students belonging to doctoral programmes at the Universidade de Vigo will go to the centres to explain to the students what the scientific method of research is and how it is developed at university through research projects carried out at the Universidade de Vigo. The aim is to show that research is fundamental for the advancement of science and to learn how to carry out a research project in any discipline.

Programme of scientific-divulgative sessions in which a university lecturer and researcher comes to the centre and explains the subject chosen by the centre. The aim is to show students, in a pleasant way, the usefulness of various systems, tools and applications in today's world and in our everyday life.

The schools and faculties of the Universidade de Vigo receive the educational centres to present their training offer and their professional opportunities, to visit their facilities and laboratories and to show the research they do in the field of STEM subjects.

Offer of talks given by UVigo graduates as examples and references of women scientists and technologists, active professionals in companies in the STEM sector. The aim is to positively influence the factors that motivate girls to choose to study STEM degrees.

The activities necessary for the development of the research project will be proposed by the co-directors of the project in collaboration with the coordinator of the STEMbach centre.

Universidade de Vigo is open to other more direct collaboration formats with STEMbach centres: workshops, seminars or any other complementary training activity. The centres can contact the STEMbach coordination of UVigo to specify or propose any other activity.
