The Strategic Actions Programme for Research Groups (AEI-UVigo) allocates budgetary expenditure applications for the economic management of R&D+i activities of the research groups, institutes, and research centres of the Universidade de Vigo after a proposal from the Vice-Rectorate responsible for research and transfer has been authorised by Management.

The purpose of this call is to facilitate the availability of continuous and stable financial resources for the development of research group activities, thus helping to minimise interruptions in funding caused by delays in the resolution of external competitive calls or various circumstances associated with the formalisation of contracted R&D activities, among others. This funding will be provided in the form of an advance, which will be reimbursed by research groups from the funds raised externally or other sources of funding they may have access to.

The main objective of this action is to facilitate funding for high-quality research groups at the Universidade de Vigo and contribute to increasing their competitiveness in attracting external R&D&I resources. This grant programme should serve to provide structural funding for research groups that are eligible to apply for annual regional calls for outstanding research groups but that are not successful. This funding should enable them to sufficiently improve their organisation, strategy, and results to succeed in a future call. Therefore, the allocation of these programme contracts should be linked to the resolution of the such regional calls, specifically to groups that, having applied for them, were well evaluated but were not successful in being awarded.

The purpose of this action is to assist research groups in maintaining their scientific infrastructure operational. This includes the repair and tuning of equipment (naturally excluding consumable expenses and parts for programmed replacement).

The purpose of this call is to award, depending on budget availability and in competition, grants to promote the consolidation of recently created Technology-Based Enterprises (TBEs) at the Universidade de Vigo, in any field of knowledge. This is achieved by financing, under the terms outlined in this call, the expenses associated with TBE installation in one of the following spaces:
