Regional grants

Grants for the Smart and Sustainable Factory initiative are aimed at industrial research, experimental development, and innovation projects focused on innovative industrial technologies to support companies in their industrial transition in line with European priorities in digitisation and the Green Deal.

Grants to consolidate, structure, and specialise the most competitive research units in the Galician R&D+i System through the following modalities:

  • Modality A
    Competitive Reference Groups (GRC). Grants to consolidate research groups that, due to their scientific output and R&D activity, constitute a benchmark in the Galician R&D+i System.
  • Modality B
    Groups with Growth Potential (GPC). Grants to consolidate research groups that, due to their scientific output and R&D activity, show growth potential to become benchmark groups in the Galician R&D+i system.
  • Modality C
    Excellence Projects. Grants for the implementation of research projects by individual researchers who, with a consolidated or developing excellent trajectory, need to strengthen a line of work based on high-impact projects mainly in national and international fields.

Further information

This call promotes the development of commercial applications for research generated in Galician knowledge centres, through the acquisition of commercial licences or the creation of spin-offs. The rigorous evaluation process and intensive support during execution provide the highest recognition for science and technology generated in Galicia to ensure its impact on society.

Further information

Funding for projects of interest to the Universidade de Vigo and the Ourense Provincial Council to support research that contributes to the social and economic development of the province of Ourense and to the understanding of its reality, as well as to the specialisation of ‘Campus Auga’.

Funding for projects of interest to UVigo and the Diputación de Pontevedra regional authority, within the following research lines:

  • Health Sciences: research on new prevention and health promotion strategies.
  • Medicine and Public Health: health promotion and education.
  • Sciences: biodiversity and habitat conservation.
  • Environmental Agrobiology: quality, soils, and plants.
  • Social Sciences, Economy, Society, and Territory: demographic studies.
