ORCID code
ORCID (Open Researcher and Contribution ID) is an open, non-profit project that provides a system for creating and maintaining a unique and persistent digital record for researchers. This identifier, which aims to solve the problem of duplicity and ambiguity of names, makes it possible to group and give visibility to the entire scientific production of an author.
The ORCID identifier is a 16-digit code that can be included on the researcher's webpage, when presenting publications (it is a requirement for publishing in major journals), etc.
Protocol for the standardisation of the signature of scientific publications
The Universidade de Vigo has a Protocol for the standardisation of institutional affiliation and personal name in publications of staff linked to UVigo. This protocol sets out basic rules for drafting the signatures for scientific publications, both in terms of personal and institutional names. Its objective is to ensure correct identification of publications in information sources.
Research and Responsible Innovation (RRI)
Research and Responsible Innovation (RRI) is increasingly present in the different research funding calls. RRI is understood as a new way of addressing scientific problems where all actors (researchers, innovators, business and industrial sector, policy makers, non-governmental organisations, bodies from civil society, citizens, etc.) are involved. They will work together with the aim of aligning both the processes and the results of research with the values, needs, and expectations of society.
This guide will present some ideas for incorporating RRI into our research proposals:
