The Universidade de Vigo has regulations in place to host national or international personnel from any public or private research entity who wish to undertake a research-related stay at our institution
UVigo researchers interested in inviting a visiting researcher for a research stay at UVigo, should fill in this form to receive a letter of acceptance.
Mobility
UVigo teaching and research staff can participate in different national and international mobility programs.
The Universidade de Vigo has a International Mobility Regulation (R1-R4) e and a Free Mobility Regulation (R1).
Institutional Grants
Grants for Travel and Stays in Research Centers
The call for institutional grants for researcher mobility at the Universidade de Vigo aims to partially fund travel expenses for presenting research results and stays in research centers or companies, in the case of programs with the mention of "Industrial Doctorate," for eligible research staff. The objective is to contribute to knowledge exchange and the improvement and internationalization of their research activities.
- Mode A: Travel Grants.
- Mode B: Grants for stays in research centers.
National Grants
Short-Term Visits and Senior Researcher Stays Abroad
These grants aim to facilitate the mobility of university faculty and senior researchers with proven experience and professional trajectory for the purpose of continuous updating. The host institutions for these stays should be located abroad and must be highly competitive universities and research centers in the candidate's scientific field.
José Castillejo mobility stays abroad for new PhD holders
These grants aim to finance stays that encourage and promote the mobility of new PhD holders who have recently joined the teaching and research career and maintain a contractual relationship as faculty or research staff in their affiliated institutions. The host institutions for these stays should be located abroad and must be highly competitive universities and research centers in the candidate's scientific field.
Complementary Mobility Grants for FPU Beneficiaries
These grants for short stays and temporary transfers aim to finance mobility opportunities for beneficiaries of the FPU program to enhance the internationalization of their scientific training and technical capabilities by joining a relevant research center or group internationally linked to the scientific, technical, or artistic field corresponding to the content of their doctoral thesis for which the FPU grant was awarded.

Stella Junior internship call for doctoral students
The mobility and training program for students of the Compostela Group of Universities, Stella Junior, offers them the opportunity to carry out internships, get in touch with other cultures, and enhance their language and professional skills.
