Access to Undergraduates
To start a degree, besides fulfilling the requirements set out in the Royal Decree 412/2014, which establishes the basic rules of admission procedures to official university degree courses, you must apply for a place according to the deadline, form and procedure established for each case.
The list of places on offer reflects the degrees with specific selection requirements and/or criteria and/or those that require accreditation of a level of English language proficiency prior to obtaining the degree.
Among the existing admission channels, there are those that start at the Universidade de Vigo's Electronic Office and those that start by other means, as indicated below:
Pre-registration will be done through the online procedures in the NERTA dcomputer application of the Galician University System within the deadlines established by the Inter-University Commission of Galicia (CiUG). Due to the fact that the process of allocating places is the responsibility of the CiUG, any complaint should be addressed to this commission.
The offer for admission to the Escola Naval Militar de Marín and the selection process is governed by the resolution published in the BOE for each academic year.
This procedure, which allows admission through the recognition of a minimum of 30 credits for having taken official university studies, is initiated in the electronic office.
It is resolved by regional delegation by the governing body of the centre of studies, in accordance with the provisions of the regulations on the Transfer and Recognition of Credits and the regulations for the admission of students with university studies initiated in a Spanish university, approved by the Governing Council on 26th June 2015. Under no circumstances will students be admitted to a course of studies in the process of extinction if they need to study a subject that is not being taught.
Depending on whether the studies of origin are Spanish or foreign, it is necessary to regulate the procedure as follows:
1.3.1 With studies of Spanish origin
It is a prerequisite that the studies have been initiated and not completed.
1.3.2 With studies from outside Spain
Applicants will be able to apply for admission by this route if they come from foreign higher education studies that meet the criteria established by the Council of Universities and are in one of the following situations:

It will be accredited that the studies taken did not conclude with the obtaining of the corresponding degree.
When the higher education studies carried out conclude with the award of a foreign university degree, the interested person must not have requested and declare that he/she is not going to request the recognition of the same by an official Spanish university degree or the equivalence of the qualification at an official Spanish university academic level. In the event that he/she has already applied for it previously, he/she must have an unfavourable resolution to the homologation in which the possibility of partially validating these studies is expressly stated.
With the aim of facilitating the incorporation of students with foreign university studies, whether partial or total, who do not obtain recognition or equivalence in Spain, a specific procedure has been established since the 2017/2018 academic year to promote mobility and to deal with the large number of these applications that were being resolved by some centres.
It is necessary to improve the admission process for this group, both the dates for the presentation of applications and the dates of the decision, as foreign students need a firm admission to carry out other legal procedures, in many cases necessary, in order to be able to register on time.
For all these reasons, the admission procedure is published in the electronic bulletin board prior to the date of publication and entry into force of the call for admission and registration for each academic year. The deadline is always during the months of March and April prior to the start of each academic year. When the degree to which access is sought is taught in more than one centre of this university, only one of them must be chosen.
They will be susceptible of validation the subjects overcome whenever the competences and the acquired knowledge are equivalent to the corresponding subjects included in the plan of studies to which it is tried to accede, that will not be able to be in process of extinction since they will not be able to study subjects of which teaching is not given. The subjects recognised will be equivalent in points corresponding to the qualification obtained in the foreign centre of origin. The resolution of recognition will be valid while the study plan of the qualification being recognised is in force, however, the admission will only be valid for the academic year for which it is requested.
Those who obtain recognition but not a place because they do not have enough places for this route, may apply for admission through procedure 1.1 of this regulation. Neste suposto e cando o recoñecemento sexa de menos de 30 créditos, os estudos de acceso á universidade de procedencia deberán ser homologados aos correspondentes ao bacharelato do sistema educativo español, sene necesidade de superar probas de acceso, salvo que a persoa solicitante desexe aumentar a súa cualificación de acceso, segundo o establecido no mencionado real decreto e, no acordo das universidades públicas do sistema universitario de Galicia sobre os procedementos de admisión aos estudos universitarios oficiais de grao.

This admission route, which allows you to resume the degree studies started at this university to which you will transfer your academic record, starts at the electronic office.
The study centres that offer places for this admission route will be able to readmit students as long as they have passed a minimum of 12 credits in the degree they wish to take up again and, if the study plan is being phased out, as long as they do not have to take any subject that is not being taught. In this last case, the readmission would have to be done, by means of the adaptation to the last plan of studies implanted in the degree.
Those who have transferred their file and, having fulfilled the necessary requirements for simultaneous studies, wish to retake a degree, must have a favourable admission report from the centre prior to the granting of simultaneity.
Those who are readmitted will be able to, if necessary, request the recognition of the credits passed in the other degree of origin in the electronic office. Those who register for the place awarded must request the transfer of their transcript to the centre or university of origin.
When a course of study begins to expire, some students may find it difficult to register for some subjects as they lose their right to teaching or their right to assessment. The process of adaptation of the study plan allows the affected students to continue the same studies in the new plan that replaces the previous one.
Those who find themselves in this situation, before starting the adaptation process in the virtual secretary's office, can consult the extinction calendar, both in relation to the right to teaching and the right to assessment, and the implementation calendar of the new plan. It is very important to pay special attention to the situation of both plans due to the fact that the possibility of registration may be very limited. When a new plan is implemented, it usually only begins in the first year, so those who decide to adapt may not have enough subjects to study and may not be interested in changing until the higher courses are implemented.
If you adapt your studies to another plan in extinction, you will not be able to register for subjects from courses that are totally extinct or subjects that are not taught even if they have the right to an exam. When there is more than one study plan in force in a degree programme, and while the last one is not fully implemented, you can choose which plan to adapt to, bearing in mind that it will not be possible to register for subjects that are not taught. The deadline for the adaptation process coincides with the deadline for registration. Once this deadline has passed, it will no longer be possible to do it virtually, so any procedure related to this process must be addressed to the administrative unit of the study centre.
The resolution of an adaptation of the study plan will be made applying the tables approved for this purpose and, whoever does not agree with the result will have to appeal to the same organisation.
Students who, once the deadline for adaptation has expired, receive an unfavourable decision on a request for assessment by compensation of the subjects that remain to complete the degree, may submit a generic application (students), always prior to the date of generation of records of the first four-month period. In this case the management body, if a favourable resolution is given, will indicate the dates for formalising registration in the administrative unit of the centre of studies.
This procedure, which allows students who are taking a course of studies taught in more than one centre of this university to change to continue the same studies in another faculty or school, is initiated according to what is established in the electronic office.
Taking into account the places offered for this route of admission, the decision will be made by the governing body of the centre of studies, in accordance with the provisions of the regulation that establishes the system for changing centres for degree courses with the same study plan.
Anyone who holds a diploma, master's degree or technical engineering degree and wishes to obtain the corresponding degree by taking a postgraduate course may apply for this route. The list of places on offer indicates the internet addresses where you can consult whether or not there are specific selection criteria and/or other requirements. Admission will be applied for according to what is established in the electronic office.
Each study centre will set up a committee to assess the applications admitted for processing, which will be made up of at least one president, three members (two members of the teaching staff and one member of the administration and services staff) and a secretary. The centres will be able to determine that their recognition and validation committee should take on this procedure. Each committee will decide by weighting the selection criteria according to the scale approved for each case.
The average mark of the transcript will be calculated according to the collaboration protocol subscribed between the Regional Ministry and the Galician universities for the assessment of academic transcripts, the resolution of the General Technical Secretariat of the Regional Ministry of Education and University Organisation and the established in Royal Decree 1125/2003.
Subjects may be recognised apart from the End of Degree Project (TFG), which in no case may be the object of recognition.
This is the procedure that allows you to complete the process of conditional recognition of a foreign university degree by the corresponding Spanish degree with full professional and academic effects. It is an essential requirement to have the definitive credential of the Subdirección Xeral de Títulos e Ordenación, Seguimento e Xestión das Ensinanzas Universitarias of the Ministry of Universities that expressly indicates the training deficiencies that require the passing of certain complements.
The process will begin as established in the electronic office and applications may be accepted as long as the study leading to the Spanish qualification to which the homologation refers to is in place.
For the admission it will be taken into account the mechanism or mechanisms for overcoming the RFC offered to the interested person and the possibilities offered by the study centre. In no case will the maximum period in which the RFCs must be passed be extended.
This admission route is aimed at people with a degree who wish to study a different degree from those taught within a study plan with the same name, although it varies depending on whether they have completed previous studies at this or other Spanish universities.
1.9.1 Graduates of the Universidade de Vigo
This option is for those who completed their studies in a programme taught in more than one centre of this university and wish to study a specialisation in another faculty or school.
1.9.2 Graduates from other Spanish universities
This option is only for degrees that enable students to exercise the professions of Master in Early Childhood Education and Master in Primary Education.
In both cases, the process will begin in the electronic office and, taking into account the places offered for this admission route, the applications will be resolved by regional delegation by the centre's management body.
This procedure, which will be initiated in the electronic office, allows those who study one of the degrees object of a PCEO (joint programme of official studies) to join another degree and study both degrees together. This incorporation is governed by article 3.3.1 of the Universidade de Vigo's regulations for the Joint Official Degree Programme.
Likewise, those who study a PCEO and comply with the provisions of article 8 of the aforementioned regulations may choose to continue only in one of the two degrees started and abandon the other.
In both cases the applications will be resolved in accordance with the PCEO regulations.
Once the admission process indicated in section 1.1 has been completed, the CiUG communicates the list of unfilled places with the number of places available per degree programme. In order not to delay the incorporation of future students, when there is evidence that a degree programme has neither students called by the CiUG nor a waiting list, unfilled places will be offered without the need to wait for the aforementioned notification. This offer of places will be published on the electronic bulletin board.
Admission will be applied for according to what is established in the electronic office. It is important to bear in mind that places will be allocated in order of arrival according to the date and time of entry and that priority will be given to those who have not formalised registration in another official qualification.
Only when more applications are received than places offered for a degree and/or when someone is excluded from the selection process, lists of people excluded and on hold will be published, informing in that publication of the procedure for presenting allegations, improvement of applications, deadlines, etc. In addition, when the places are filled in any of the degrees offered, an update of the remaining places in each degree will be published.
Those who are granted a place will be informed by email at firstname.lastname@example.org of the steps to follow to formalise their registration. Participants are advised to check their inbox as well as any unwanted mail. If you do not receive any communication within five calendar days of making the application, you can contact the Degree Studies Management Service at the email address indicated.
The admission of exchange students is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the programmes, conventions or agreements established for this purpose. The International Relations Office (ORI) manages the mobility of the university community.
There are various possibilities for exchange students depending on their preferences and different situations (ERASMUS+, SICUE, ISEP, COU, GE4, etc.).
The ORI will prepare and send to the administrative units of the centres the lists of students and the letters of acceptance of the admitted students. If the contract that the students participating in a mobility programme has been signed, these units will register the corresponding admissions in the computer application in accordance with what is established in the respective agreement, agreement or programme.
The admission of the foreign student VISITOR will be carried out, by regional delegation, with an individualised resolution of the person in charge of the vice-rectorate with competences in international relations, after a report from the person responsible for international relations at the destination centre.
The places offered show the degree study plans that can be carried out through a mutual recognition agreement (PARCEIROS). For further information on this type of admission, please consult directly with the study centre where the degree courses indicated with this option are taught.

Cotas de reserva
- Persoas tituladas: reservarase o 1% das prazas totais, soamente para a convocatoria de xuño.
- Estudantado con grao de discapacidade igual ou superior ao 33%: reservarase un 5% do total das prazas.
- Estudantado con cualificación de deportista de alto nivel: reservarase un 3% das prazas totais, agás nas titulacións de Grao en Ciencias da Actividade Física e do Deporte e Grao en Fisioterapia, nas que se reservará un 8%.
- Maiores de 25 anos: reservarase un 2% das prazas totais, soamente para a convocatoria de xuño.
- Maiores de 45 anos: reservarase un 2% das prazas totais, soamente para a convocatoria de xuño en materia de persoal corresponderá a cada universidade.
