World Intellectual Property Day

The Universidade de Vigo invites the university community to celebrate World Intellectual Property Day by following the virtual round table organized by the European University ATHENA along with the Enterprise Europe Network. It aims to highlight the importance of intellectual property in the innovation ecosystem.
The round table is titled "Intellectual property in the innovation ecosystem - why is it important?" and the appointment will be on April 21, at 10.00 h.
UVigo is one of the nine university institutions that are part of the ATHENA alliance (Advanced Technology Higher Education Network Alliance), one of the pilot projects of European universities selected by the European Commission in 2020.
ATHENA focuses on societies digital transformation and seeks to create internationalized training, to open international mobility to as many students as possible, to promote the implementation of collaborative research and development projects and to open new European perspectives, not only to the more than 160,000 students and 15,000 workers of the alliance, but also to local communities and social entities.
In addition to the Universidade de Vigo, the consortium, coordinated by the Instituto Politécnico do Porto (Portugal), is composed of the following academic institutions: Université d'Orléans (France), Universität Siegen (Germany), Univerza v Mariboru (Slovenia), Vilnius Tech (Lithuania), Università Niccolò Cusano (Italy), Ελληνικό Μεσογειακό Πανεπιστήμιο-Universidade Helénica do Mediterráneo (Greece) and Uniwersytet Marii Curie-Skłodowskiej w Lublinie (Poland).
